Sometimes I make art with my body
Art and nudity are two subjects that can both create discomfort as well as inspire. For me, combining the two has allowed me a means to cope with other people staring at my body and objectifying my body. I am creating my own power by taking something that makes me uncomfortable and transforming it into a source of beauty and creativity. As so many people can relate, I don’t need people staring, trying to touch me, and commenting on my breasts. My art allows me, and I hope others, to take the uncomfortable feelings and turn it into a source of inspiration and something positive. I use my body as a paintbrush showcasing not only my beauty and individuality but to celebrate and take comfort in the human form. I hope to help people realize that you shouldn’t feel uncomfortable or fear your body because of what someone else says or thinks. My body stamps are an expression of my individuality and my power.
My name is Jessica and I am TheNudistPainter. I am a self-taught artist in Nevada, and I love painting with my body. I use acrylic paint because it dries fast and that was the 1st paint I was introduced to. I have been painting for 10 years and I first fell in love with it when I was in pediatric therapy. I loved how is was so calming to get your feelings out onto something tangible and understand the things or thoughts that were making me anxious. Every painting I create helps me work through my anxious thoughts and is very cathartic to me. I love that once a painting is finished, I can look at it and still feel the calm that was felt when creating it. When I’m not painting, I love running around naked in the rain, drinking Irish breakfast tea and grooving out to 80’s music. I also enjoy studying different types of herbs for natural remedies due to being a germaphobe.
